Background: I withdrawed a programme about community art in Kowloon city which funding was from Urban Renewal Authority in Hong Kong. For this department, most of time , they demolished and destroyed the community network and old buildings in Hong Kong . After that , they will build private buildings to earn money which most of people cannot bear it . However, they offer a funding for people to do community art. It is unbelievable. When our community disappear, how can we do community art? Ngan Tsin Wai village is one of the example which have existed 600 years already . For me, one of the main reason to do community art is to against the urban development.

Artist statement:
I use paper , bamboo to make a 6 ft X 6 ft paper house which is traditional method to make the Chinese funeral paper offerings. Since most of house of

Nagn Tsin Wai Village were demolished by the government . And this house is like a soul of those house “re-exist” again . Meanwhile , all villigers were so tired for protesting around 2 to 3 year , they all depressed. I hope my work can be a kind of suport . For this work, it showed on 1July2015 big protest in order to arouse more people to care about this issue.
